MISSION STATEMENT
The PoMeCo mission is to bring awareness to the myriad of artistic talent that exists in and around Poughkeepsie, NY. Various cities and towns within the Hudson Valley have seen themselves grow into centers of artistic interest; we believe the time has come for our home town to realize it's potential and bring local talent to light. PoMeCo not only wishes to watch Poughkeepsie grow into an art center; we also wish to facilitate the process. We will work to increase the frequency of artistic events and awareness through art shows, fundraisers, and other such community events. With venues like the Bardavon Theater, Barrett Art Center, Art Centro, and 358 Gallery, Poughkeepsie has always had the potential to grow into a mecca of creativity. While the local artistic movement continues to make strides, we believe with every art event, Poughkeepsie grows closer to becoming a hub and haven for the creative mind & those who appreciate it.
